  • Etiquette

In order to ensure that you and your fellow golfers enjoy your visit to Enville we ask that you show due respect to our courses, clubhouse and to other golfers by following the traditional etiquette standards of the golfing world: –

    • We would expect a fourball to play 18-holes in under four hours. Play ‘Ready Golf’ and attempt to keep up with the game ahead. Should you fall behind, make suitable efforts to pick up the pace of play to close this gap. If there is a faster moving group behind and space ahead please do let this group through.
    • Please make every effort to repair all pitch marks correctly. Except after rain, our greens will be quite firm so the mark may not be fully apparent; please try to locate and repair accordingly.
    • Please rake all bunkers and leave them in a condition you would hope to play from. Only enter our bunkers from the front and not from the face.
    • Please replace all divots and use divot mix where available.
    • Mobile phones must be set to silent at all times and not be used for calls anywhere on the courses, within the clubhouse, spike bar or surrounding areas. Mobile phones may only be used for voice calls in the car-park.

In addition we kindly ask that you adhere to the following: –

    • We recommend that when a ball is hit into the heather, a provisional ball is played. Trollies or Buggies are not permitted to enter the heather.
    • Leave golf bags and trollies in the correct place in order to move quickly to the next tee.
    • Do not take a trollies between the edge of the green and a bunker.
    • Shoes must not be changed in the car-park.
    • Enville Golf Club operates a No Smoking policy throughout the clubhouse. A designated smoking area is situated to the side of the clubhouse on the patio area and access can be gained through the “Fire Doors” in the main lounge.
